First Female Ever to Compete in Bladesports Cutting Competition

BladeSports International, Inc. is a Texas non-profit corporation formed to promote knife safety and provide workshops and cutting events for its members. Bladesports also works to inform and educate the public with regard to the safe use of a knife as a tool.

The Bladesports Competition is a contest in which participants use a cutting tool to complete various tasks in a quick and safe manner. Participants cut cans, tennis balls, 2×4’s, hanging rope, and more. This competition takes strength, skill, and focus.

Jessica Elias will be the first ever female to compete at Nationals in Mountain View, Arkansas for the Bladesports competition. She is third on the qualifying list going into Nationals. Jessica is the Creative Director at L.T. Wright Handcrafted Knives located at 130B Warren Lane Wintersville, Ohio 43953. The competition will be held on Saturday May 2nd, 2015 at the Ozark Folk Center located at 1032 Park Avenue Mountain View, AR 72560.
